ABOUT THE MR2 OWNERS CLUB OF AUSTRALIA: TASMANIAN BRANCH

The Tasmanian Branch of the MR2 Owners Club of Australia was indirectly founded through the MR2.org forums. In June 2007, a few keen members decided it was time to formalise the club, and by organising a debut cruise, which brought together the two sub branches of the club, the northern branch (Devonport and Launceston) and the southern branch (Hobart). The club now holds events on a more regular basis, and its currently small member base is growing as awareness of the club spreads and members become more active in the club.

The Tasmanian Branch of the MR2 Owners Club of Australia welcomes owners of all revisions of the Toyota MR2, from the AW11 (1985-1989), SW20 (1989-1998) and Spyder (2000-2005). The club values any type of mr2, from stock standard to fully modified show and track cars. Any type of member is also welcome, regardless of age (age ranges from 17-54!), male or female, as long as they have a passion for their MR2.

Tasmaniana has many long, windy roads, mountains and various weather conditions, so each event or cruise promises to be challenging, scenic and enjoyable.
